Can this version be used on OS X?

A colleague of mine (hi Michael) can run this app on Windows.

Use the real TMXValidator, not a copy Jul 10, 2013

You are using a bad copy of TMXValidator. Get the real program.

Download Swordfish for Mac from and install it.

After installing Swordfish, you will be able to use the real TMXValidator. It is installed in the same folder: /Applications/Swordfish_III/

You don't need to purchase a license to use TMXValidator, it's free.

In any case, the Java message that you quoted means that you don't have enough RAM assigned to check a file as large as the one you tried to validate.

If you need to increase the amount of RAM when using the real TMXValidator, contact and request assistance.

Not RAM Jul 10, 2013

It’s not about RAM, but about memory available to JRE or so. It can be increased by adding the respective parameter to the launch command such as:

java -Xmx1024M -jar validator.jar
