finally an answer from the customer:
Ein Lagerschottraum ist ein Raum um das Lager, der das Lager vor Schutz und Staub schtzt.
Non-ProZ.com Jun 22, 2005:
It's a huge, industrial type thing, used for shredding metal drums, aluminium, etc.

Hi, Silvia; can you tell us whether this is a commercial, an industrial or indeed a domestic shredder? Where is it used?

shreddings bin

I have a feeling this may be a typo either for "Sch*R*ottraum", or for "Sch*u*ttraum", but I'm really giving it little more than a "best guess". The place where the shreddings are collected, or "shot" (as in "geschüttet"), could be called all manner of things...if that is indeed what is meant. I cannot really see it having any relevance to bearings of any sort - but who knows...

bulkhead

The term "Lagerschottraum" may refer to the bearing bulkhead. You are here obviously dealing with maintenance work. This includes cleaning of the gear and bearing areas, namely the bulkheads.
