Discussion

jarry (X) Sep 16, 2005:
New ProZ members need some help to become familiar with the rules. We shouldn't be too harsh on them!!!
Deborah do Carmo Sep 16, 2005:
Do you know where to find the rules? Just go to KudoZ on the menu bar and click on About - otherwise welcome to the site and once you've done your own legwork and propose your own suggestions, I'm sure you'll find colleagues far more willing to assist.
Deborah do Carmo Sep 16, 2005:
There is nothing toO strict about squashing a question that flagrantly breaches the rules, done because at that stage you only had access to one question a day. If people just read the rules and don't abuse the site, it won't be necessary to 'police' them
xandrad (asker) Sep 16, 2005:
deborah do carmo okay, i am sorry, i am new here at Proz.
i agree that there have to be rules, but i think deborah was to strict to REMOVE IMMEDIATELY my first question regarding "overgaan tot rechtsmaatregelen".
Is she the PROZ POLICE?
xandrad (asker) Sep 16, 2005:
for annette: thank you for your kindness, i think this is the best translation
Annette van der Lei (X) Sep 15, 2005:
first reminder, second reminder, final notice, summons.....
Deborah do Carmo Sep 15, 2005:
These remain very basic terms that can be easily researched and distinguished - please consult the rules, and research before posting not vice-versa.
xandrad (asker) Sep 15, 2005:
difference there will be an important difference between the two (aanmaning - betalingsherinnering) which is not always explained in the dictionairies.

Deborah do Carmo Sep 15, 2005:
Please consult the rules - these are basic dictionary terms

I must agrew with writeaway and Deborah. These are basic questions you should be able to resolve through a little intelligent research. According to the rules you should exhaust all other possibilities before posting a question on KudoZ
Peer comment(s):

agree writeaway : see forums. people are trying so hard to stop kudoz from being used to allow people to get through jobs they can't do.we're here for real problems, not just as 2 legged dictionaries. these terms are so basic if one knows the language(s) and subject matter
