English to French Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Regarding the yen exchange rate, Japanese housewives’ FX market investments have calmed down after they realized big losses out of currency speculation. It has been the case among Japanese individuals who trade foreign exchange as an instrument of yen carry trade. Although risk appetite among Japanese individuals hasn’t changed, institutions were not taking risks on foreign products. This may be the risk for the yen to appreciate but a lack of upward momentum in yen interest rates will make lose attractiveness on yen products at the same time.

I am translating this text into French but struggling to undertand the last sentence "This may be the risk for the yen to appreciate..." - could anyone explain?

Thanks!!!
