certificate / affidavit
Hi, Jeanne,
“justificativo” means “certificate”; but it is also an affidavit.
The term is usually used in the combination “justificativo de soltería” (certificate/proof of being unmarried), “justificativo de pobreza” (affidavit stating that you are (one is) poor).
The person concerned makes an affidavit, which is ratified by 3 witnesses and attested by the notary.
Good luck.
