Los términos sugeridos por Maria Cristina son jurídicamente- los más apropiados; sin embargo, por tratarse de un texto dirigido al público en general, te propongo también estos, que siendo igualmente términos jurídicos pueden ser comprendidos fácilmente por el grueso del público (al menos eso creo yo...)
