In un manuale sulle sedie a rotelle, parlando del trasferimento del paziente da un letto ad una sedia, trovo :
"- Placer la sangle sous le patient.
- Vérifier que la partie dorsale de la sangle soit bien positionnée (des épaules au coccyx).
- Recoucher le patient sur le dos.
Passer chaque jambette sous chaque cuisse du patient en les croisant.
- Croiser les boucles d'attache de chaque jambette entre elles."

Non sono riuscita a trovare niente in rete e faccio fatica ad immaginare cosa succede al paziente durante il trasferimento. Secondo il mio dizionario Garzanti però jambier significa staffa (tecn), e magari l'hanno utilizzato come sinonimo.
