Both "trunk back" and "torso back" sound very strange indeed in English. The back of the trunk or torso (upper body) is synonymous with the back, and vice versa. There is no possible ambiguity. The thermography of the trunk/torso back is the thermography of the back, and that is what you would say in English.

"Posterior trunk" is used in medical texts, as is "posterior torso"; both are correct, though the latter is a bit less common. But definitely not "trunk back" or "torso back". I think "back" alone will do.
