En el contexto en el que tienes que traducir el verbo "to call" yo lo traduciría como "requerir" en lugar de "llamar". "Llamar" no me parece una traducción apropiada dentro del marco de la informática, no me acaba de sonar bien. Incluso en el ejemplo de muestra que pones me parece más adecuado traducirlo por "requerir".
