disagree  Begoña Yañez: Just as a reference. Handicapped is not politically correct in the UK anymore! I have severe bilateral otosclerosis and I, like many others, find the word "handicapped" offensive. Lets stop using it, please!

Explanation:
Handicapped is not politically correct in the UK anymore! Neither is Mentally handicapped! Other English speaking countries are rejecting these terms nowadays as well. I have severe bilateral otosclerosis and I, like many others, find the word "handicapped" offensive. Lets stop using it, please! You can write instead "People with learning and sensory disabilities/difficulties" or "sensory deprived", as you suggested, which sounds much better.
