Norwegian term or phrase: gods-
I am translating a text related to slinging and lifting on a building site and the prefix gods appears in several terms. E.g. Godsslitasje, godsdiameter and godstykkelse. Some example sentences:

Innvendig løkkelengde på kortlenket kjetting er 3 ganger godsdiameteren.
Anbefalt godstykkelse i forhold til boltdiameter
Normal tillatt godsslitasje på kjetting er inntil 10%

Does this simply refer to the cargo/load or could it be something else?

English translation:materials
Explanation:
My Ansteinsson Reiersen technical dictionary gives the following:goods, materials, cargo

However, I'm guessing from the examples you give above that the sling is made from chains, so perhaps you could use chain here to translate "gods", e.g. chain diameter.

Explanation:
I believe it refers to the wall/body of the lifting hook/shackle/ring, and the thickness/diameter/wear of this.

Explanation:
wear & tear, diameter & thickness (or 'tik-ness' as my office manager from Dublin used to pronounce) of such components.

Otherwise, structural parts, as used by my building-trade brother-in-law in South London (when not falling off hgih-elevation scaffolding and surviving).
