Actually, it should be hyphenated, like 'power-stearing', but that doesn't seem to be the normal usage judging from the brief Internet seach I did. I suppose it looks like power-sun... roof.

UK: Electric Sun Roof. US: Power Sun Roof.

I think Lone and I are both right. Like in the case of Boot vs. Trunk, Americans and Brits can't seem to agree on names for car parts.

I went back to Google and found that the hits for "electric sun roof" came mostly from .co.uk domains.

Here are the results:

electric sun roof = 90,500 hits

power sun roof = 224,000 hits

"electric sun roof" = 709 hits

"power sun roof" = 1,780 hits

Bearing in mind the relative sizes of the American and British English speaking worlds on the net, this makes OK sense to me.
