VBTB stands for 'van beleidsbegroting tot beleids verantwoording' seems to be a bit of a buzz word at the moment. BuZa translates it as 'From Policy Budgets to Policy Accountability' (see Eurodic), but I'm not 100% happy with this as it doesn't really mean much to the unsuspecting English reader. I was thinking along the lines of 'joined-up management'... Any ideas, anyone?

Comment: "I agree with Allison's comment to the first answer posted in that 'accounting' is not really a correct rendering of 'verantwoording' here (should be 'reporting' IMO). I decided to keep the abbreviation and to explain it as the new performance-based budgeting and reporting structure for government and other public sector bodies. Thanks for the input."
