To Sam Berner and Mona Helal: Google hits I'm afraid are no help.���� is also (a) kidney, ���� is also eat it, ����� gets mixed with kilogram. A good map in Arabic is not available, to me at least.
To Sam Berner: Text sort of implies it is in Oman on the Omani coast. There's definitely a Kilwa in Zanzibar, 3 of them, maps refer to them as Kilwa Kivinji, Kilwa Masoko and an island Kilwa Kisiwani. Do the other references you refer to with the - �- refer to Tanzania also.
