rack mounting
Hello
"Use universal 19-inch cabinet, snap and M6 cage nut at three square slots of 1U on both side of the rack, where you will be installing the BBU."

: Yes, these are 'cage nuts' that 'snap' (or 'clip') into the square holes in the rack uprights. I've been a professional using these things in rack-mounting for years and years. No element of 'blocking' involved.

: From your decisive explanation and typo detection skills, il s'agit donc d'emboîter/clipser un écrou en cage

Merci, Philippe !

Discussion
By the way, I reckon it should say "... snap an M6..." (because in EN we'd say that as 'em-six'), not 'and', which would make no sense here.
