Measuring device
It's about a mass flowmeter (user manual), which delivers an output signal "4-20mA" current loop capable of driving a 1000 ohm load. And then later it's written : "Available outputs : (...) Milliamp driver: current loop, 4-20 or 10-50 mA.

sortie milliampérique
You're lucky, as it is specifically an output, so I would suggest using that term to translate 'driver', since that is after all what it really means.

'to drive (a current)' > fournir, but that word-for-word approach wouldn't work here.

Note from asker:
Thanks a lot. I chose "sortie milliampérique - boucle de courant de 4-20 mA". It's seems the most appropriate here. |

GILLES MEUNIER
: Circuit de commande = driver ?

Merci, Gilles ! To me, it's not really 'commande' — it simply 'pushes' or supplies / sources this signal current (the opposite of draw = tirer, current drawn = courant appelé)

Note from asker:
Mais comment se traduit exactement "milliamp driver" ou alors "to drive a current" ? Merci |
Peer comment(s):

Tony M
: I'd avoid 'puissance', since this is all about signal levels, and not really about 'power' as such.
