: Please see my comment in discussion... / Rotary on/off switches are rare, and 'spin' very much suggests 'rotate through at least 360°, which they NEVER do; however, the S/T does specifically describe 'cycling' it; surely more than mere 'speculation'?!

c'est encore de la spéculation, si c'est du mauvais anglais, on peut penser que l'auteur pensait à turn

: Logical; HOWEVER, rotary on/off switches are pretty rare these days, i'm wondering if this is YET ANOTHER error in this source text? I think they ACTUALLY mean 'cycle' ;-)

Discussion
HOWEVER, what they are actually describing is in fact performing a power off/on CYCLE (note: it finishes 'ON'!) — what we typically call a 'power-down cycle' or 're-boot'
Taken in THIS sense of 'cycle', 'spin' makes more sense, since we now know (from Asker's various questions) that the EN in this source text is very flawed.
However "spin" is curious in this context, usually for fast and multiple-turn rotation
This is just like the S/T error in your earlier question about a password — nearly the right word, but an ENS would have immediately spotted the error.
