English term

share compensation

English to French Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Bonjour,

Le texte que je traduis est consacré aux "reports d'imposition" ("rollover relief") qui sont accordés lors d'échanges d'actions. Je ne trouve pas de solution élégante pour "share compensation", dans le contexte suivant :

Rollover relief is provided by the Ministry of Finance under certain conditions, to facilitate corporate reorganizations.Value for tax purposes of business assets transferred determines new book value and share compensation. Up to 20% of compensation for shares may be in the form of cash.

Merci d'avance pour vos suggestions.

Cordialement,

Rémy

compensation/contrepartie

I'm not sure if my understanding of this term is exactly the same as the English. What is meant here is what the shareholders receive for their shares in the event of a company reorganisation e.g. shares are repurchased, swapped for debt. This is why "contrepartie" may not be exact because there isn't the element of giving something to someone because they are losing something (if this isn't clear - let me know!)
