A wave rose plot graphically presents the results shown in Figure 4.1. The wave rose indicates the higher waves from the east-northeast direction.
This energy peak represents wave energy from the North Atlantic penetrating though the passage between Haiti and Cuba, and entering the Caribbean Sea over the deep Cayman Trough.
A second peak of wave energy from the southeast arrives from the more limited fetch of the Caribbean.
