contexte:
"As managers of one of the leading companies in our industry, with clear ambitions to deliver more, we should all be convinced that building a high performance organization is synonymous with developing an empowered organization. This entails:
-placing more emphasis on vision and less on supervision… less monitoring and supervising – more coaching and development
-eliminating obstacles to action – be they excessive hierarchical levels, *** excessive reporting *** or lack of necessary skills
-ensuring team members are aligned around their goals, clear about roles and responsibilities and understand how their work fits into the bigger picture"
merci d'avance

reporting is telling your boss/manager/supervisor what the status is - can be verbal. A lot of time is wasted in large organizations because everyone wants to know but they don't really need to know. Organizations are streamlined in order to eliminate telling X, Y and Z what is going on.
