On pourra aussi entendre le terme de relief d'œil, traduction impropre de l'anglais eye relief (littéralement : soulagement oculaire), auquel on préférera le terme de dégagement oculaire, plus explicite bien que moins spécialisé que tirage d'anneau

Si l'œil n'est pas presque collé à la lunette on voit comme dans un tube, cad une surface de terrain limitée.
