I have already indicated that I did not want to steal ahartje's laurels. She should clearly offer 'vorgeschnitten(e)' for 'pre-cut' and something like 'Vorschneideverfahren' for 'pre-cutting'; in the contexts given 'Vorschnitt' only works post-nominally.

Ganz offensichtlich geht es hier nicht um den Zuschnitt eines Endproduktes, sondern um einen Schritt in Bearbeitung des Rohmaterials.

Das könnte auf so etwas wie 'Rohschitt' hinauslaufen. Obwohl 'Zuschnitt' hier natürlich nicht wirklich falsch wäre.
