English term

balance

English to German Bus/Financial Insurance
As the consignee's alternative customer was only interested in purchasing 100 tonnes of the rejected material, it was agreed that further enquiries would be made with regard to obtaining a further, presumably lower, offer for the ***balance*** of the consignment. At the present moment these enquiries are proceeding and we will advise further once the matter has been resolved and a fully quantified claim established. In the meantime, however, the loss in respect of the 100 tonnes which will be sold by consignees at a reduced price, is approximately £ 13,000.00.

Assuming a minimum salvage recovery of £ 150.00 per tonne on the ***balance*** of the consignment, there may be a further claim of a similar proportion in respect of the remainder of the consignment, giving a total maximum estimated claim in the region of £ 26,000.00. As stated, however, we will revert when full details are known. In the meantime, bearing in mind the potential extent of the claim, we submit the foregoing for underwriter's consideration.

Mit "Ausgleich" kann ich mich irgendwie nicht ganz anfreunden. Hat jemand einen besseren Vorschlag?
