The UCC/EAN-128 symbol shall be centre justified, allowing for a quiet zone at each end of the symbol, of at least 10X mm.
● Non-significant zeros and spaces shall be omitted.
● X-Dimensions (nominal). The X-dimension of the narrowest element (Module/element width) range should be from 0.50 to 0.80 mm as determined by the printing capability of the supplier/printer of the label. Symbols with narrow elements at the lower end of this range may require special care to meet the print quality requirements. Conformance to the print quality requirements shall be determined in accordance with ISO/IEC 15416.
● The minimum symbol grade at point of customer scan shall be “B”. Reference specifications ISO/IEC 15416).
● The depth of field will be effected of the X-dimension. At ULL the Bar code symbol length shall be optimized by given X-dimension to give the maximum read distance.
