English term or phrase: chief of staff (in a clinic)

I'm translating a book in which the main character is said to be the "chief of staff" in a clinic, and also the "head doctor" who "runs" the clinic. In a different context I'd have translated "chief of staff" as "jefe de personal", but since he's also referred to as the "head doctor" who "runs" the clinic, I assume the term in Spanish would be "director de la clínica"?

Also, another character is said to be the "head administrator", and I'm not sure what term I can use so that the two positions don't clash or overlap each other. Would you translate "head administrator" as "gerente"?

Explanation:
Si te refieres al jefe de la clinica, se diria director de la clinica, si por el contrario te estas refiriendo al head admin. se le puede llamar director administrativo o gerente administrativo, dependiendo del enfasis que se le quiera dar. Igual para el chieff of staff, pudiera ser gerente de personal, en el caso de ser el jefe de las demas personas trabajando ahi, siempre y cuando no sea el jefe absoluto.
