Guidance for U.S. OSHA Requirements
Note: In the U.S., OSHA requires that the anchor point be capable of supporting 2268 kg (5000 lbs.) for non-engineered anchorage points, 1361 kg (3000 lbs.) for non-engineered anchorage points used only for self-retracting lifelines/lanyards, and twice the maximum arrest force of the fall system for engineered systems. The following guidance is based on the 2268 kg (5000 lbs.) requirement.
