Hi! I'm still with the assigment of the movie "Calling all Goofs".
There is a part in where one of the characters that is a kind of soldier is training another character and tells him 'Leaping sweatbands! You must have gained 100 pounds overnight!'
What does 'Leaping sweatbands mean? I think it is an expression but I cant figure out what it means.
Thank you!

An attempt at a full explanation I can't give you a translation, but here's an explanation: "Leapin lizards" is the famous exclamation of Little Orphan Annie, an iconic comics character. All kinds of adaptations of the "leapin'/leaping exclamation have been used for various other comics characters. It looks like this is one more such exclamation. In this case, "leaping" is being paired with a metonym for a need for exercise (the sweatband). You'll need to find a similarly iconic expression in Spanish and pair it with an appropriate metonym.
