Lenguado
Dear Oscar
I would say that lenguado is the most suitable term for Latin America. I am from Peru and we call it Lenguado. I also know that other countries in Latin America do.
Patija is used more in Spain.
Have a look in this website where you can find a list of names of fishes in English and Spanish. It is very useful.
