Lubricante para engranajes descubiertos

Claudia:

I agree with Henry's rendition except for the word "engrane". It is my experience that engrane is more often used in the verb form "engranar" that means "to engage, to lock, to link or connect".

To be sure, engrane also means "gear" but I believe the more universal expression for gear is "engranaje".

In this question I believe the correct rendition would be:

Es resistente al desprendimiento (or No se desprende) y se adhiere a "engranajes" descubiertos, aún bajo presión.

All will depend on your audience. Either or.
