Así le llamamos a la persona que atiende en la ventanilla de un banco o, en otros lugares, a quien se le hace los pagos que correspondan. Es quien maneja la caja chica, por ejemplo.

Es la persona que se encuentra detrás de un mostrador, hoy en día, muchas veces, detrás de un vidrio o cristal por razones de seguridad.

El ATM es el cajero automático, llamado automático porque es una computadora con compartimiento para realizar depósitos y hacer ,sin intervención de persona alguna.

Debes traducirlo por "Cajero", que es el término que se utiliza en España (y me imagino que también en el resto de países de habla hispana) para designar este cargo.

No lo debes traducir como "cajero automático", porque en este caso llevaría el adjetivo "automated".
