German term

H

German to English Tech/Engineering Finance (general)
I do not know what H means in this sentence: USD 32.000 H zum Kurs 1.2985 (EUR/USD) vom 12.04.2005 = EUR 24.643,82.

Discussion

silfilla May 5, 2005:
Can you judge from the context whether this is a typo? (with MonikaW below)

Hong Kong Dollars

Hong Kong Dollars
Peer comment(s):

neutral Monika Leit : Vor dem Wert steht eindeutig USD = US Dollars und die Umrechnung ist auch US Dollar gegen Euro.

[H]och zum Kurs

as in
"Man ermittelt die Kursdifferenz vom gefundenen *Hoch zum Kurs*, zu dem die Kreuzung mit der FLD stattfand."

I've translated many financial documents, where the authors are always to specify whether the exchange rate being used is high/medium/or low rate of the day. I haven't, however, encountered this particular phrase before, nor the abbrevation you are citing.
