German term
Tastkontrolle
German to English
Tech/Engineering
Medical: Instruments
Inspektion von Fiber-Endoskopen
Sichtkontrolle
Tastkontrolle
Durch Abtasten des Einführschlauches und des Lichtarmes, können Beschädigungen, wie Deformierungen, Knicke, Bisse etc. festgestellt werden.
I used visual inspection for Sichtkontrolle and would like to use something with inspection for Tastkontrolle as well. Not sure if tactile inspection works.

Hi Christine,
I was actually going to suggest "tactile inspection" before getting to the last sentence of your question! Here are a couple of example links, just to give you more confidence.
On the other hand, you could also use "inspection by hand," if "tactile" does not sound right to you.

Hi Christine. I would suggest (if possible) waiting to see what other people think as well. But yes, I believe that "manual inspection," although not as precise a translation as "tactile inspection," works due to its meaning in English.

physical inspection
Or even 'physical examination'
