sweeper plate/panel?


Explanation:
I originally thought of a sump guard as well, but after finding this patent sweeper plate seems to fit more. If it is similar, then it is used to lift people onto the bonnet and over the top of car when the bumper strikes a pedistrians legs rather than under in the case of an accident.

Without more context this is a guess, as it could be part of the chassis or a specifically designed front panel

I haven't found an already used term... yet :)
