English translation: These are the guidelines for performing a HAZOP to the general system

Japanese term or phrase: これはシステム一般に対する HAZOP 適用のガイドライ ンである。
This comes from a technical manual.

My current translation is "This is a set of guidelines applicable to HAZOP for dealing with general systems."

I'm not completely used to dealing with the word 適用 yet since I've only run into it a few times, so I would like to verify that I'm using it correctly for this sentence (and for the future)

Thank you!

English translation:These are the guidelines for performing a HAZOP to the general system
Explanation:
I am not exactly sure what the context is, but this is what it sounds like.
A HAZOP is a study, so you would "perform" it I guess.

agree  mmb42: how about: " These are the HAZOP guidelines that apply to most systems"?

-> sounds better, the context is probably about systems in general
