This is written on a 100 year ols postcard from Norway, looks like a greeting card. The ae are written as one letter.

The old "J" sometimes resembles the modern "T", and "AE" is one of the three letters that the scandinavian alphabet does not share with the english. The term "Glaedelig jul" wishes the reciever a merry christmas, and does not say that he is having a merry christmas.

It's most probably 'Glædelig Jul' that you see on the card and then it's the above.
