possibly two different things... anyone with kids at a Polish school to tell me what ORU stands for? ;-)

English translation:bulletin board / School Student Council newsletter
Explanation:
never been to a US/UK school so the fixed terms could be different

gazetka ścienna - bulletin board (noticeboard) - should be self-explanatory, place where you stick anouncements

ORU stands for Ogólnoszkolna Rada Uczniowska (e.g. here http://www.sp2.sandomierz.pl/index.php?page=/rodzice/rekl/wi... or (in my words) School Student Council - board of students (elected by students) organizing different activities at school: competitions, Halloween party, etc.
