I dont have any further context, but I am pretty certain what it is but dont have an english term for it.
I believe it is a sort of structure that sits on the sea bed over the well head and literally guides the drill bit into the well hole. I imagine it must be connected directly to the BOP device?

Thanks for your comments, Andrew. I had thought of suggesting moon-pool assembly, but I saw on the Internet that that is used for the real drilling, not for exploration. Unfortunately I cannot do any further research right now. Good luck.

: I spent a bit of time trying to figure it out too. Spud-in assembly sounds about right to me too. Lowered together with the BHA to start the hole but i think it is removed after installing the conductor pipe.
