Note to Vytas: While both glass and steel may be used in combination with flagstone, I have not run across any material known as "glass flagstone" or "steel flagstone" in my experience as either designer or builder. Steel plate and Plate glass, on the other other hand, are available worldwide.
Saludos. :)
:) Well, both you and Maria basically have told me the same idea. You are probably right then. I'll probably translate it as steel plate and plate glass. Thanks. |
steel/metal slab/flagstone
Then you think it would mean glass flagstone too? :/ Kind of weird. I think it's probably related to some kind of block structure, like those double glass windows for thermal insulation, but I'm not sure. Besides how should I understand acero en lastra? |

Caroline Handley
: I agree with slab, as rae gives lastra as being the same as lancha 'Piedra más bien grande, naturalmente lisa, plana y de poco grueso'

It's a construction material, not related to the radioelectronic field. The list I mentioned includes such materials as hollow brick, solid brick, polyestirol, pine and such. It speaks about the thermal conductivity of these materials. |
And it's "en lastra", not "lastre" |
May be you have some other ideas? I'm a native spanish speaker and cannot guess what does this mean. Besides i haven't found it used on the internet. |

Yes, I think your are right, but can't think of a better option
Are you sure? Then why don't they write simply glass or steel? The thermal conductivity would be the same. |
For now it's the most probable answer, but I'm not really convinced, because as I mentioned it would be more logical to call such materials simply glass or steel when speaking about their thermal conductivity. |
Thank you anyway :), specially for such a prompt response. De cualquier manera creo que mejor esperaré hasta mañana tal vez a alguien se le ocurra algo mejor : ). Gracias nuevamente por tu colaboración, espero poder ayudarte en una ocasión similar en el futuro : ) |
