juridification (of the matter)

"Judicialización" is the Spanish translation of "juridification," a very popular term in legal circles (18,500 hits on Google) for the modern tendency to submit everyday conflicts to litigation:

"Juridification: a neologism dating from the mid-1980's, is a loan translation from the german Verrechtlichung, which denotes the process of transforming social relations into legal conflicts, primarily through legislation and judicial decisions. Though probably destined never to move beyond the realm of theoretical jargon, the word usefully describes modern society's increasing reliance on courts to adjudicate questions that were formerly dealt with by other less formal means." I once thought this might be limited to US usage, but I have found many instances of its use in the UK, even on the UK Parliament webpage:
