laboratory testing - ascites
This abbreviation appears in a list of findings from an analysis of ascitic fluid taken from a patient with liver cancer.
Some of the other components listed are neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils and "Aly" [my previous question] ... then we have: "Lic: 7.1%; Lic #: 0.2 10^9/L".
So the test gives the findings for this Lic component both as a percentage and as an absolute number, as with the other results before it.
What does "Lic" stand for, and how do we say it in English?
Thanks again for your help.

Joseph - I don't understand it myself. My mind was still half in a French Labyrinthe!

Note from asker:
Hi DL. I don't understand your comment about English"already"? But ... to clarify my question ... all of the other values in this list of results were in Spanish (the neutrófilos, eosinófilos etc.) ... and then "Aly" and "Lic" at the end of the list. |

Note from asker:
Thank you very much, Liz ... very helpful, clear ... and prompt. As I commented on DLyons' answer above, all of the other results came in Spanish, which confused the issue with these two values. |
