This is the definition given for "la doctrina de los actos propios":

"La fuerza vinculante del acto propio estriba en ser éste expresión de un consentimiento dirigido a crear, modificar o extinguir algún derecho o al explicito reconocimiento de una siuación jurídica, generando una actitud desacorde con la posterior conducta del sujeto".

Since this is a specific legal doctine, I was wondering whether someone could merely tell me the correct legal expression in English for "el acto propio" within this specific legal doctrine.
