Wrongly spelled.

I am sure that the word "geldi" is wrongly spelled.

"Welcome" or "Fair Welcome"

Please note that it is not an Urdu expression, though it might have been in use during Mughal dynasty in the Subcontinent when the influence of Turkish was enormous on the newly-born Urdu.

This expression seems to be used in Turkish language, as you can see at page # 354 of the book "Amurath to Amurath: A Journey Along The Banks Of The Euphrates" written by Gertrude Lowthian Bell. The GoogleBooks link of the book is:

You can also confirm it by going to page # 529 of the book "Travels in various countries of the East: more particularly Persia" written by Sir William Ouseley. The GoogleBooks link of the book is:

agree abufaraz : Yes, You seem to be right. I have never read it in Urdu. I presumed it to be wrongly spelt. Anyhow, your search and posting of links is an addition to my knowledge and is praiseworthy!
