In the light of day, Lisbon is breathtakingly beautiful, like San Francisco. There are steep hills, clanging cable cars, azure skies with sweeping vistas of bay, bridges and the vast expanse of ocean beyond, as well as an over-the-top architectural bent of the sort that seems to evolve in wealthy, worldly cities that have been devastated by earthquakes (85 percent of the city was leveled by a massive temblor in 1755).
The magisterial scale of Lisbon's buildings and public spaces, from the monastery of Los Jerónimos to the Praça del Comérçio, can be staggering. But as the Portuguese empire unraveled - the country once held sway over large swaths of Africa, South America and the Far East - it seems that the people stopped painting the buildings and let the weeds sprouting between the cracks grow into trees and vines that still cling to their crumbling tile-encrusted facades.
Restoration and renovation are rampant in the city today but still emanating from the fault lines is a wistful air, at once melancholy and poetic, that is so often ascribed to the Portuguese temperament. Central to fado's forlorn lyrics is the concept of saudade, a term meaning bittersweet nostalgia or longing that has no adequate translation. THAT sensation walks the night as well, especially for the generation of Portuguese who grew into adulthood during the movida of the 1990's, as the country's post-dictatorship social rebellion was called.
New restaurants, bars and clubs can come and go with astonishing frequency - often within the space of six months or a year - so it stands to reason that at least a few tried and true places, like the always packed restaurant Pap' Açorda in the Bairro Alto, or the bar Pavilhão Chinês (Chinese Pavilion), remain atop many people's lists.

A la luz del día, Lisboa es de una belleza que quita el aliento, como San Francisco. Hay colinas empinadas, teleféricos estrepitosos, cielos azul celeste con amplias vistas de la bahía y puentes tras los que se extiende el vasto océano. La arquitectura tiene esa preferencia por lo excesivo que parece surgir en las ciudades ricas y cosmopolitas que han sido devastadas por terremotos (el 85 % de la ciudad fue destruido por un temblor masivo en 1755).
La escala magistral de los edificios y espacios públicos de Lisboa, desde el monasterio de Los Jerónimos hasta la Praça do Comércio, puede resultar impactante. Pero parece como si, a medida que el imperio portugués fue desmoronándose (tras haber llegado a conquistar amplias franjas de África, Sudamérica y el Extremo Oriente), la gente hubiera dejado de pintar los edificios y permitido que las malas hierbas crecieran entre las grietas hasta convertirse en árboles y viñas, que todavía se agarran a las fachadas revestidas de azulejos desmenuzados.

The leading search engines, such as Google, Bing and Yahoo!, use crawlers to find pages for their algorithmic search results. Pages that are linked from other search engine indexed pages do not need to be submitted because they are found automatically. Two major directories, the Yahoo Directory and DMOZ both require manual submission and human editorial review.Google offers Google Webmaster Tools, for which an XML Sitemap feed can be created and submitted for free to ensure that all pages are found, especially pages that are not discoverable by automatically following links. Yahoo! formerly operated a paid submission service that guaranteed crawling for a cost per click; this was discontinued in 2009.
Search engine crawlers may look at a number of different factors when crawling a site. Not every page is indexed by the search engines. Distance of pages from the root directory of a site may also be a factor in whether or not pages get crawled.

These can be exclusive and in the form of “get a free drink with a copy of this tweet”. This type of message encourages other locals to follow the business on the sites in order to obtain the promotional deal. In the process, the business is getting seen and promoting itself (brand visibility).
Kony 2012
A short film released on March 5, 2012, by humanitarian group Invisible Children, Inc. This 29 minute video aimed at making Joseph Kony, an International Criminal Court fugitive, famous worldwide in order to have support for his arrest by December 2012; the time when the campaign ends. The video went viral within the first six days after its launch, reaching 100 million views on both YouTube and Vimeo. According to research done by Visible Measures, the Kony 2012 short film became the fastest growing video campaign, and most viral video, to reach 100 million views in 6 days followed by Susan Boyle performance on Britain’s Got Talent that reached 70 million views in 6 days.
