Bilingual Spanish-English language specialist (teacher, proofreader/copy-editor, translator, writer, linguist - Native English speaker) living and working in Spain since January 2015.

I graduated from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand in 2014 with BA Honours in Linguistics, BA in Psychology and post-graduate diplomas in Modern Languages (advanced Spanish, French, Italian) and TESOL.

I am a professional proofreader/editor with 15 years' experience correcting texts in corporate and academic fields. I specialize in proofreading and copyediting for postgraduate students, professors and non-native English writers.

I am also a literary translator, currently working on the translation of a fictional novel from Spanish to English (Las Hienas by Manuela Vázquez). I'm passionate about literature and aim to maintain the full magic of the word (not just the meaning, but also the subtle feelings evoked by word choice) across translation.

Nací en Inglaterra y pasé mis años formativos en Nueva Zelanda. Ahora vivo en España, donde he estado trabajando como traductora, profesora y escritora desde enero del 2015.

Soy una gran apasionada de la literatura y como tal procuro mantener toda la magia de la palabra (desde el significado hasta las sensaciones más sutiles evocadas) a través de la traducción.
