Fun with France throughout Croatia – Month of Francophonie arrives

The French are coming  and they’re bringing literature, art, and culture to be featured throughout March in eight Croatian cities for the Month of Francophonie.

Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Osijek, Split, Koprivnica, Rijeka, Zadar, and Pula are participating in this celebration of French language and Francophone culture for the very first time. In collaboration with the French Alliance, French-speaking embassies, and other organizations promoting French language and culture, these eight cities are hosting a plethora of concerts, exhibitions, book presentations, lectures, free French language courses, contests, Francophone film screenings, gastronomic dining, wine tasting, theater, and French-themed children’s activities.

The main goal of the Francophonie month is to showcase the importance and dynamism of French language and culture in Croatia. This festive month is part of an even larger celebration, the International Day of Francophonie, which takes place on the twentieth of March. On this particular day, over 200 million Francophone and Francophiles all over the world pay homage to the French language and cultural richness of the Francophonie. More
