UN seeks an Arabic Translation Intern in Geneva.

Responsibilities

Within delegated authority, the intern will be responsible for the following duties:
– Translate, for training and other purposes and subject to review, documents from one or more official languages of the United Nations: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian or Spanish into the main language of the intern, which must be another official language of the United Nations.
– Work will be reviewed with the intern by a senior member of the Translation team for training purposes;
– Perform other related duties as required, including terminological work, creation of translation memories, and, in the case of interns assigned to the English Translation Service, drafting of summary records of meetings. See more.
