Bidding for jobs - why wasn't my email address visible? (staff: 'you get to choose')
Thread poster: David Brown

I recently placed a bid for a job posted onproz.com. I later noticed that the poster of the job had added a note to my bid requesting my e-mail address. Why wasn't my address visible?

Whether or not your e-mail adress should be visible to the job poster is your decision; it depends on whether or not you check the corresponding box in the Contact info to show section of the quote submission form.

My name, e-mail and telephone number were checked (home address, unchecked). The bid is now closed, therefore I cannot re-enter to confirm.

Confirmed issue
Feb 19, 2004
Hi all, Having double-checked this with Jason at ProZ.com, it's confirmed to be a bug. Unfortunately, it's not one of the kind that can be rectified easily - FTTB the option to show your e-mail address will be suppressed until this is rectified.
Thanks for indicating it (again...).
Ralf
