The problem is familiar. Anteil and Aktie are both generally 'share' in English texts. In German 'Aktie' is mostly used for AG, while 'Anteil' is mostly used for GmbH (my experience). In English (British / Singapore Law) both are 'Share'. In English 'stock' is also often used for shares in general, like in 'voting stock'. C.H.Beck Verlags 'Woerterbuch fuer Recht, Wirtshaft und Politik' offers the above for 'Anteil / Geschaeftsanteil'. 'Anteil' is also often used as referring to multiple shares as opposed to a single 'Aktie'. As in "Sein Anteil an der Firma betrug 1,000 Aktien'.
