Well, this term appears in the context of a Claim agains an insurance company.
The sentnce in which it appears is:
" If during the period of insurance , the Insured becomes aware of any fact or circumstance which may subsequently give rise to a Claim under this policy and elects, during the period of Insurance to give written notice to UIC of such fact or circumstance...."
