I had to already send the document to client last night (quite late at night...=P).
In any case I already gave the client my thought on this issue. All of your contributions have been of great help. Now I am about to close this KudoZ, and give points, but in my opinion you all worth the 4 points (wouldn't it be nice if we askers could divide and give out point to more than one answerer??).
I will copy all your texts and answers and will forward to my client, so they will finally decide what to write in the Spanish final document.

You have the name of the bank (though I don't need to know it). I'd recommend looking at the bank's English-language website to see how they use it. What MediaMatrix is describing is called a "banking relationship" in American (in some banks, not all.)

This is about an online bank from UK, therefore target market/people for the Spanish version I understand will be mostly spanish speaking people living there.
I believe there must be a difference just because they are not two terms appearing in two different bank websites....but they are two different sentences for the same bank.
Moreover, leaving out "account", I know that "bank" is banco/bancario, and "banking" is banca/bancaria, but banking is also "banca" in the sense not of the company, but in the sense of "activity" (banking activity).
The point is that I believe that these two words, when combined with account must have any difference.

These terms (both in en and es) differ from one country to another; what country is the source text referring to - and what country will read the translation?
